Dan for Elliott

Hi Guys,
Hopefully you will get this post later today as I am going to try and schedule this one.
This card is Dan from The Digistamp boutique.
If you saw my earlier post you will know I did the matching Rosie card for my daughter.
Again he is coloured with Promarkers. and is kept really simple with just a bit of bling.
Although I loved making all the Christmas cards, I must admit I am now looking forward to doing something else. Have a great Sunday,
Lou x

The bit inbetween

Hi,
It's Sunday morning and I was wide awake from 5am so I thought I would be productive and get some colouring done and do a new blog post (or two).
This time between Christmas and New year is a bit like Limbo. When the kids were little it was filled with playing games and visting relatives but now it's like I am just waiting for the fresh start that a New year promises.
Anyway, this card is the one I made for my daughter for Christmas. She loved it. It's pretty simple but the image is just a cutie and was from The Digistamp boutique.
She was coloured with Promarkers.
The papers were some I picked up in Wilko's. Not sure if they are Do crafts or something else.
Hope you like it,
Have a great day,
lou x

Time is Fleeting

Hi All,
The days are just flying by now and It all seems like a whirlwind of shopping, wrapping and trying to write cards. I have had to give up on the idea of sending home made cards this year as I will not have the time.
This is a card I made for a customer using a cute image from The Digistamp boutique and she can be found HERE
She is coloured in using Promarkers and the flowers are from WOC. The snowman was from Hobbycraft I think and he has been glittered with crystal snow.

Bugs and Kisses

Hi Guys,
I am sorry this is a little late but I have had a whirlwind week.
Hopefully getting back on track now and catching up on all the little jobs I need to do before Christmas. It has been super cold the last few days but this morning it is raining heavily so I won't be tidying the garden.
Anyhow, today's card was the one I made for my daughters birthday last Sunday. Her nickname is Bug and she loves ladybirds and hedgehogs so it was perfect.
The image is from Tiddly inks, the flowers from WOC and everything else was from my stash.
I coloured in with my promarkers and softened them with a light blue round the outside and used my blender. The edges were inked up to make the papers pop!
Hope you like , My daughter loved it :)
I did the inside to match.
Have a great Saturday guys,

Hi Guys,
So pleased that I have actually been able to make a couple of cards that are not for Christmas. The first is for a customer and tomorrow I can show you the card for my Daughter.
Today's is using a Digi from Just Inklined. I was lucky to pick him up for just £1 but I think he has gone up to £2. I loved colouring him in and I got to use my new Sizzix star dies.
The papers were just bits and bobs from my male card stash. He was coloured with Pro markers.
Have a great Saturday and I will be back tomorrow,

Joanna Sheen DT call

Hi all,
Back in August a DT call was made for the Joanna Sheen challenge blog.
I decided to enter and was delighted to be picked as one of the top twelve :)
Today our makes will be put on show and the followers will help to choose the top three.
I made a card with a recessed window. I have never made one of these before but thought I should do something outside my comfort zone. I decoupaged the garden picture and popped it in the recess and decorated the front with flowers from Wild orchid crafts. They are Gardenias, Carnations, Roses, Cherry blossom, Gypsophila and pearl stems.

close up of flowers.

The flourish is from Marianne designs and the little butterfly from my stash. The sentiment is Lili of the valley, the leaves are a MS punch.

Here you can see the layers of decoupage which I had printed onto Crafter's companion paper. You can just see that I added twine around the trowel as well.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look and maybe you can pop over to Joanna Sheen to take a look at the other creations. If you like my card don't forget to leave a comment over there and maybe I will chosen in the top three,

No time to myself

Hi Guys,

At the minute I seem to be pulled in all directions apart from towards my crafting.
You never know when your last chance for gardening is so I have been cutting the lawn and doing the weeding. The sun has been out and I am very grateful as my washing machine broke on Thursday so I have been hand washing as well as taking a trip to the local launderette.
Needless to say I haven't made a card in a few days but tomorrow shall be crafting heaven. All my main chores are done and apart from a quick tidy up and Sunday dinner all's I am doing is catching up with all my "cards to do" list :)
This little beauty is Madison Attitude from Kenny K. I love her. She will be finished tomorrow so I will share more then.

Cheers Dad!

Hiya,
I was asked at the last minute to do a card for a very special dad who like most men
enjoys a  pint, a spot of gardening and cups of tea. I chose to use the "Pint" as inspiration after seeing this Digi at the digi stamp boutique. Alf is just full of character ..

I computer generated the sentiments and highlighted the shoes and beer froth with glossy accents.
I used frosted lace stickles just for a touch of frosting on the glass.
Papers, ribbon and gems were from stash. He is coloured with Pro markers.
I decorated the box and the inside to match.
Hope you like Alf as much as me :))

My card today though is quite bright and summery with lots of red...

Martha Stewart branch punch, Cuttlebug flowers embossing folder, flowers from stash and so are the gems.
The image is actually a re-sized kids colouring page :)

I am hoping to make a serious amount of Christmas cards this weekend. I can feel September fast approaching and am afraid it's all going to be one mad rush.
For today though, we have a baby boy card. I have kept it pretty simple
as I wanted it to fit in an envelope and not a box.

The papers are First edition-Up,up and away. The image is from Pink gem designs  and I used my spellbinders circles and scalloped circles.
Gems and bow are from my stash. The sentiment is computer generated.

Busy bee

Hey Everyone,

I am sorry that I haven't posted for a couple of days.
I went back to work yesterday after my 17 days
leave and I have been rushed off my feet with last minute card orders.

Today I wanted to share my latest two cards. They are very different to each other. The first is a wedding card using my favourite Wedding Couple stamp from LOTV.

I coloured with Pro markers, used a LOTV circular sentiment and Spellbinders nesties to cut.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I got the embossed vellum, heart and butterfly from my local craft shop.

The second card was completely different to my usual style. The brief was shiny and blingy ...

I used my new Spellbinder dies Blossom tags and accents. You can't really tell from this pic but the layers are white pearl and silver mirri card. Decorated with hearts, gems and ribbon from stash.

I had better run now and get some more cards done,

Oh so girlie !

Hey  Everyone,

Today started off so well. I was up early expecting a heatwave (which never arrived) and pruned/ thinned the two large bamboo's at the bottom of the garden. It was quite a job and I had lots of spiders and earwigs dropping on me (gross). They look great now though even if I do say so myself.

I cooked Sunday dinner and then settled to watch a quick film before getting my craft on. Well that was the plan but I woke up 4 hours later on the sofa. Whoopsie!! So I never got a chance to make a card today but would like to share one that I recently made.

Its Pretty Bouquet from LOTV. I love this stamp. It's coloured with Pro markers and layered on to First edition Spring feast papers.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I used a Martha Stewart border punch/ Marianne creatables flourish and the flower ribbon and pearls were from my stash.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

A little kiss...

Hey Everyone,

I have managed to finish my card today. The image is "A little kiss" by s.w.a.l.k from Crafters Companion.
It is such a cute image and I can see tons of ways to use it for anniversaries and Valentines etc.

I have used an Eiffel tower die from Marianne creatables. A LOTV circular sentiment and my new Spellbinder dies (which I have yet to properly play with). The Papers are Raspberry road and were a freebie from Cardmaking and papercraft magazine.

You can see some of the layers from here, including the Martha Stewart punched branches and a cream cherry blossom and 5mm ivory rosebuds from WOC.

I coloured using my usual Pro markers but also paper pieced the clothes for a bit of texture. The bow and hearts have glossy accents and there is just a smidgen of stardust.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Hey everyone,

So as I said earlier today, I was hoping to finish today's card. Unfortunately time just ran away with me so It is still un-stuck on the kitchen table. I have got most of the elements ready and with just a bit of tweaking in the morning it should be finished.

Now as the title suggests I thought I would leave you with a little teaser to keep you going...

Anyway, I am off now to finish watching CBB which I have paused. Enjoy the rest of your friday night,
